Yes, but only in our Cidergarten/patio area. Now that we have our food truck up and running, we are no longer allowed to welcome doggos inside the taproom- no matter how good they are! Our Cidergarten, however, is dog friendly! Your pup is welcome in our Cidergarten ANY TIME (as long as they are friendly and well-behaved). We have water bowls and treats behind the bar, just ask a server when you arrive. Please thoroughly read our cidery doggo rules below before arriving with your pup:
- No dogs on furniture.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Your dog must not be left unattended at any time.
- No barking or growling.
- Dogs must go outside our fence line to do their “business”.
- No aggression towards people or other dogs allowed.
- Please make sure your pup does not block the bar area or walking spaces around the Cidergarten.
It is the responsibility of the owner assure that your pet is well-behaved and follows these rules. If you and your dog are unable to adhere to these rules, you will be kindly asked to leave. Thank you so much in advance for your cooperation- we look forward to meeting you and your doggo!
“Waldschanke” roughly translates to ‘forest tavern’ in Swiss-German. The original cidery partially built by our Grandpa George, is located on a forest preserve in Romanshorn, Switzerland- hence the name, “Forest Tavern”!
We have implemented several COVID protocols in order to keep both our guests and our staff as safe and healthy as possible! Please take a moment to review our COVID Protocols HERE.
We sure do! We welcome you and your family into our taproom. We simply ask that you don’t leave your kiddos unattended in the taproom both for safety and out of respect to other guests. If your kiddo is having a “rough day”, we ask that you please either take them outside or in to the bathroom until they are able to calm down. We have apple juice and Izzy sodas for purchase as well. Remember, this is a bar and a shared space that we want everyone to be able to enjoy. Additionally, please also make sure you clean up as best you can after your kiddos when you leave the cidery. Thank you!
Yes! We offer FREE wifi in our taproom which you are welcome to use anytime. Our network is called “Cheers” and the password is “Swisscider“.
Unfortunately due to the struggles that have come with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to offer any Happy Hour deals at this time. However, as things begin to open up and regulations begin to ease up, we will hopefully be able to implement a few Happy Hours deals for you. Thank you for your understanding!
We sure do, we’re proud to sell cider to-go for your next camping trip, BBQ, adventure, or just to enhance your weekend! We offer 16oz. crowler cans for sale from the bar, which can be filled with any of our craft ciders on tap. You are also welcome to bring in your own growler, which we’re happy to fill (32oz, 64oz, or larger!), some restrictions on certain ciders may apply. Feel free to check our social media accounts for recent updates on what ciders we are releasing so you can be the first to snag a pint!
Yes! Each and every one of our ciders (including slushees and mulled cider) are 100% GLUTEN FREE.
Yes! We carry kombucha, Martinelli’s apple juice, Izzy Sparkling sodas, and flavored San Pellegrino sparkling water. (Flavors vary).
We also have our espresso bar available during our regular taproom hours. Decaf options are available upon request. View our coffee menu HERE!
Unfortunately, no. We operate on a first come, first serve basis! However, if you plan to have a larger group, we advise that you call us ahead of time to confirm that we have room for you.
Yes! To purchase a giftcard, feel free to stop by the taproom OR you can CALL US to place an order and we can either send it to you in the mail or we can hold onto it until you arrive! If you would like to order a giftcard over the phone, we will need your credit card information and an address to ship to.
On occasion we do rent out our taproom for rehearsal dinners, parties, and special events. Please contact us with the date, time, and number of guests for your upcoming event in order to receive pricing and reservation information.
